Healthcare and Mobile Computers
Mobile & Barcodes:
Focus on Healthcare

Barcode scanners are perfect for mobile solutions in many fields because they provide exact identification in a complex worldand every month new industries embrace barcode scanners. For instance, in March 2003, Computerworld reported that the United States Food and Drug Administration mandates that drug companies will put bar codes on all drugs dispensed in hospitals as a means of reducing medication errors. "Hospitals welcomed the prospect of error reduction, even though as an industry they will have to spend billions to deploy the technology." Read the news article or learn about mobile healthcare.
